Forever Hold His Peace - Rebecca Cohen

I've had the pleasure of promoting the first book in this series
The Actor and the Earl some weeks ago. I was planning on promoting the second also, but unfortunately technical difficulties had me miss the boat. I am very glad to be back on track for this one. I had the great pleasure of meeting Rebecca at the UK Meet and she's awesome, which always makes it easier to promote :)

Blurb: Sebastian Hewel has never been happier. But his life playing the role of his twin sister Bronwyn, the wife of Anthony Redbourn, Earl of Crofton, is about to change. Rumors abound that Bronwyn is using witchcraft to enthrall her husband, and false evidence has been found. Practicing witchcraft is a crime that could have Bronwyn brought in for questioning by the sheriff, and that would reveal Sebastian and Anthony’s secret.

Together they must decide whether it is time to lay Bronwyn to rest. Anthony intends to ensure that whoever implicated Bronwyn pays for the treacherous deed. Whatever happens, Sebastian and Anthony must prepare to face an unknown future together.

Excerpt

Bronwyn took his arm and sighed. “I’ll put away the sewing and take your hound out for a walk—but you’ll have to come with me, as I doubt the beast will listen to a word I say. I won’t be here for more than a handful of days, so you really shouldn’t care so much.”

Sebastian wasn’t convinced. Bronwyn’s last visit to Crofton Hall had been filled with arguments and casting of blame between his sister and Anthony, and he couldn’t allow that to happen again. “Have you spoken to Anthony yet?”

“No. Surprisingly, Lord Crofton has not chosen to seek out his wife this fine morning.”

“And have you tried to speak to him?”

“To say what, Brother dear? Good morrow, your lordship, are you still an overbearing arse?”

“Bronwyn!” snapped Sebastian.

“Oh, please, Sebastian. I can be civil if I have to, and Lord Crofton is making it more than worth my while to endure his company—although, it is very pleasant to see you again, of course.”

“Just keep an even temper and your mouth closed unless you intend to say something pleasant, and we may all survive the next few days.”
